Summary of the film

On the 74^th hunger games two contestants from district 12 won the contest, and on their victory tour it sparked the rebellion of the other districts as Katniss Everdeen was an icon of their revolution, now the people know that they could go against the council and fight for their freedom.

Is the film science fiction. Why or why not

Yes. Because the film is based on the future because of the technology they showed. The hovercraft, the cyber coliseum and their way of power over the lower society.

Is the film a commentary on past present and future human society

It could be because the council was struggling over their power and the future might turn up that way depending on the system in the future, The dictatorship of the council in the movie is similar to the things happening around other countries

How does science technology and society fail or succeed in the world of 13 districts

The limitation of freedom set by the council set the 13 districts upsets the society in the 13 districts because they are looking for a better way of living. Only the upper class in the movie have the privilege to live like normal people while the lower society are like slaves. The technology given by the council to the slaves are very limited due to fear of uprising and revolution
